Dr. Eric Gohet

Dr. Eric Gohet is the Director of Research Unit “Performance of Tree Crop-Based Systems” of CIRAD. He has been in service with CIRAD for the past 31 years. He was the Head of R&D Department of Hevecam rubber plantation in Kribi, Cameroon that focusing on latex harvesting, physiology, crop protection, clonal trials and agronomy from 1985 to 1990. He then held the position of Head of Exploitation-Physiology Research program of IRCA/IDEFOR-DPL/CNRA Côte D’Ivoire, Bimbresso Rubber Research Station, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (Latex harvesting, Physiology) from 1990 to 1998. He then moved to Thailand, as the Coordinator of “Towards the improvement of the rubber tree productivity”, a project jointly conducted by CIRAD/Kasetsart University/Rubber Research Institute of Thailand. From 2006 to 2008, Dr. Gohet held the position as Deputy Director of Research Unit “Performance of Tree Crop-Based Systems” in Montpellier, France and being promoted as the Director of this project since 2008 till now. Dr. Gohet has also been representing CIRAD and France in IRRDB scientists group in Latex Harvesting Technology then later in Agronomy since 2002. He has also been a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Rubber Research of Malaysian Rubber Board Malaysia since 2005. Dr. Gohet has published 30 publications in peer reviewed scientific journals and 50 communications to international workshops and conferences.
