Dr. Thomas Wijaya

Dr. Thomas Wijaya is currently the Deputy Director for Pre-Harvest Research at the Indonesian Rubber Research Institute (IRRI), with field of expertise in agronomy. He started as a young scientist at the Sembawa Research Centre in 1985 and was promoted through various ranks at the IRRI. He helms the current position since 2013. He has published over 47 research papers, of which 7 papers were accepted and published at the international journals and over 40 papers were published in the local Journals in Indonesia. He has won numerous awards including the 1998 Postgraduate Best Award issued by the University of Queensland, Australia. Dr. Wijaya graduated with the Bachelor of Science Degree from the Bogor Agriculture University. He was awarded 2 scholarships by the AusAid and had since attained a Master of Science and a Doctorate Degree from the University of Queensland, Australia.
